Amiwest is the premier Amiga-focused show in North America. Amiwest
has provided a haven for like-minded individuals to come and celebrate all things in the Amiverse: Commodore Amiga's, Emulation, Aros, AmigaOS 4, and MorphOS . The show has become a yearly event in the community, with many new product announcements and introductions expected. Over the years, the show has seen Amiga companies come and go. Our goal has to be to create an environment for the community to come together and share ideas and AAA good times through it all.

Presented to Dan Kloczko, who has given of time and energy during the period 2001-2006 by technically assisting the club in serving its members, in the great helping tradition of John Zacharias. Areas of technical assistance:
- Hardware renovator: keeping our old Amigas alive by soldering in new batteries, rebuilding monitors, installing drives/chips/main boards and whatever else it takes to keep them going.
- Amiga One builder and hardware contributor, particularly in the area of power supplies and related wiring.
- Generally knowledgable about electrical circuitry and trouble-shooting.
- Served as SACC club officer in the thankless and complicated job of Treasurer.
- Auction master for many yearly Amiga auctions.

The John Zacaharias Award for outstanding technical assistance to SACC members is hereby presented to Roger Berry for his technical knowledge of the Amiga and its enhancements. Here are a few examples. * He has encyclopedic knowledge of Amiga operating system and can troubleshoot any problem our club member's have.
* He has encyclopedic knowledge of Amiga hardware installation and configuration as well as installation skill in adapting newer equipment to older computers.
* He has materially assisted many of our SACC members in maintaining and enhancing thir computers over a period of at least the past 10 yearss (and probably longer).
* He has the most amazing A2000 any of us have ever seen.
* His knowledge of image processing software and hardware is unparalled anywhere.
* He has also served as a SACC director for many years whose input has helped to guide our club.
* He is very positive and upbeat with something good to say about everyone.
* For these and many other reasons, Roger Berry is our very deserving recipient of the John Zacaharias award for 2007

* He shares his knowledge with everyone who will listen.

- He is well-known in the Amiga community at large.
- He continues to give of his time, talent and expertise to everyone who asks without financial competition in the volunteer spirit of Amiga.
- He creates opportunities to share his knowledge with others.
- He has supported AmiWest since he became involved several years ago and has attended every AmiWest since 2006.
- He is very friendly and open to everyone, someone people want to be around.
- He has materially facilitated, sometimes single-handedly, in the shift from Amiga Classic to Amiga Next Generation software, including the X1000 platform.
- He continues to improve upon AmigaOS and is in charge of the way forward.

- He's an expert in the information technology field, having worked for companies that were on the innovative cutting edge in the fields of gaming and digital imaging.
- He firmly believes that members of a computer club should use their computers to communicate, promote our club and gain what we can from the larger online world.
- He is always brainstorming new approaches to our club and wants to see SACC continue and thrive.
- He makes a point of promoting club meeting attendance by providing transportation when needed to other club members.
- He eagerly shares his Amiga knowledge and expertise with club members, going out of his way to document upgrade information and sources of hardware and software.
- He is a great Classic Amiga fan and has made a living as a videographer with the NewTek Video Toaster Flyer for many years.
- And finally, he was part of the original organizing committee for the original AmiWest show in 1998 and all succeeding AmiWest shows over the past 16 years.

- He's a hardware guy from way back, with a serious interest in maintaining good Amiga equipment in good condition.
- He has spent a lot of his own time, money and effort promoting our club during the year and AmiWest as the time draws closer every year.

- He is always respectful of those who aren't experts in his field, patiently explaining to those who don't understand so that they can understand the subject at hand.
- He has patiently helped troubleshoot perplexing hardware and software problems with expert knowledge derived from many years of experience with electronics in general and Amiga in particular.

- He's a network technician from way back in his work for the State of California.
- He has spent a lot of his own time and effort promoting SACC to Amigans throughout the world.
- He is a great Classic Amiga fan.
- He goes about his volunteer task mostly silently, though he does succinctly and articulately express his opinion when appropriate. Then he resumes his quiet demeanor.
- He is adept at finding rare, obscure Amiga information that is often used to authoritatively answer questions our SACC members have about the Amiga platform.
- He is always available when there is work to be done and participates enthusiastically but quietly.
- He has insightful and definitive views as a SACC officer that help keep us on track.
- And we could not do without him as our webmaster.
The Dan Kloczko award for outstanding service to the Sacramento Amiga Computer Club for 2018 is presented to a man who dedicated his efforts to the success of AmiWest as an Amiga community gathering and to SACC as a loyal member and participant.
His expertise in planning large gatherings provided the foundation for the AmiWest show we have today. His dedication to SACC was responsible for building attendance through his monthly personal calls to each member. His expertise in layout and design produced the SACC Amigazette in print before the advent of widespread internet use. He also printed and mailed each monthly issue until publication ceased in 2007. He volunteered his time and expertise since AmiWest was founded in 1998 and has been an integral part of every AmiWest show for each of the last 20 years. He served as SACC Treasurer for at least 15 years. Even when others recommended that we discontinue AmiWest, he was a staunch supporter and tireless worker, serving as Chief Operations Officer for AmiWest until about three years ago when health issues forced him to retire from that task. He is an Amiga fan from way back, building his own collection of classic hardware and software. He has given of his time and resources to help with our SACC storage area, formerly known as the Abyss. He is successfully helping to preserve our access to our floppy disk collection through modification of current disk drive equipment. He has supported AmiWest by helping to stabilize our local area network for our DevCon participants and show exhibitors. He is enthusiastic about the future of SACC, actively participating in our local meetings, structuring demos and bringing items of interest. He is involved in IT for the state of California, supervising database operations for all of California's counties. I'm looking forward to his next idea for the club, whatever that may be, and his next idea for a hardware mod to use with Amiga. The Dan Kloczko award for outstanding service to the Sacramento Amiga Computer Club for 2019 is presented to a man who has dedicated his efforts to the success of AmiWest as an Amiga community gathering over a period of many years.
He is an Amiga fan from way back, building his own collection of classic and NG hardware and software. He has given of his time and expertise to help with AmiWest in many ways. He is part of the Friends of AmiWest, an ad hoc group that provides funding for expenses for which our show has no budget. He is enthusiastic about the future of Amiga, actively participating in software development and beta-testing for a variety of developers while making coding contributions to those projects. He is also involved as an instructor and go-to resource man for the annual AmigaOS DevCon at AmiWest. He has supported AmiWest by employing his professional skill to help make our show floor more functional. And his professional knowledge helps keep us out of trouble with our show floor layout every year. The Dan Kloczko award for 2019, for outstanding service to the Sacramento Amiga Computer Club and to AmiWest, is presented to Paul Sadlik.
The John Zacharias award for outstanding technical assistance to the Sacramento Amiga Computer Club for 2019 is presented to this year to another one of our more recent SACC members.
The John Zacharias award for 2019, for outstanding technical assistance to the SacramentoHe is an Amiga fan from way back, building his own collection of classic hardware and software. He has worked as a professional animator using Amiga hardware and software, making his living for about 15 years in that field. He has given of his time and resources to help with our SACC storage area, formerly known as the Abyss. He is successfully helping to preserve our hardware collections through his expertise and knowledge of modification and preservation of our Amiga classic hardware. He is enthusiastic about the future of SACC, actively participating in our local meetings, freely sharing his knowledge, structuring demos and bringing items of interest. He is involved in IT for Northrup-Grumman aircraft, keeping very large hardware systems operational through out-sourcing parts for legacy equipment worth hundreds of millions of dollars. He is our SACC solder tech, having fun with his extensive soldering setup that makes preserving and upgrading even the least promising hardware impressive in the results department.

His enthusiasm for Amiga as a platform in all of its forms, from Classic to reimplementation, has added measurably to our monthly SACC meetings. His dedication to SACC has been evidenced by his continual willingness to brainstorm and implement new ideas for both SACC and AmiWest. His expertise in online conferencing has resulted in a monthly online SACC club meeting to serve our members who are out of the area as far away as the state of Texas and visitors from states as distant as Connecticut. He volunteered many hours of his time and online conferencing expertise to bring the AmiWest 2020 enhanced streaming experience to life and has been an integral part of AmiWest since 2018. He served as SACC Vice President for the first time this past year. He served as Chief Operations Officer for AmiWest 2020. His tireless and outstanding efforts have resulted in the continuance of our Amiga Game Competition from last year into this and untold numbers of details for our AmiWest 2020 stream. His enthusiasm for the Amiga classic platform continues after a period of many years of use. His original introduction to Amiga came in pursuit of animation software in the very early days of that genre. He has presented an animation demo at AmiWest and promoted the release of legacy animation software into the public domain. His skill in art and animation continues to be expressed through his classic A3000 tower Amiga setup. He answered the call when our SACC Abyss storage area was being deactivated and volunteered to store ongoing equipment needs. This continues to save our club the rising costs of storage. His outstanding efforts in the key task of storing and transporting all of the equipment that it takes to run AmiWest every year has resulted in thousands of dollars of savings of our club funds, a tremendous organizational benefit that promotes SACC and AmiWest in a very physical way. He's an expert in the information technology field, currently working on the innovative cutting edge in the IT industry. He has worked as a volunteer beta tester (all of them are volunteer) to hone and perfect both Amiga OS4 and OS 3.2 for the benefit of Amigans throughout the world. He has been a part of the AmiWest support team, providing demos and logistics with food service and printing badges and banquet tickets for many years. His current work as a beta tester for Amiga OS3.2 has been key to the release of this OS version to the world. He is always ready and willing to share his expertise and analysis at our monthly club meetings and is one of our go-to technicians, especially in the area of software and configuration expertise. The Dan Kloczko award for outstanding service to the Sacramento Amiga Computer Club and the Amiga community at large for 2023 is presented to a man who has dedicated his efforts to the success of the Amiga community both near and far over a period of many years.
He is an Amiga fan from way back. He has given of his time and expertise to push Amiga forward in many ways. He is in the forefront of Amiga development on many platforms. He is enthusiastic about the future of Amiga, actively participating in software development and preservation efforts, making it possible to run Amiga everywhere. He has supported AmiWest by donating free download codes for his superb Amiga Forever environment for many years as well at attending the show in person, bringing encouragement with him. The Dan Kloczko award for 2023, for outstanding service to the Sacramento Amiga Computer Club, AmiWest and the Amiga community at large, is presented to Michael Battilana.
The John Zacharias award for outstanding technical assistance to the Sacramento Amiga Computer Club and the Amiga community at large for 2023 is presented to this year to one who is largely responsible for the technology we see and celebrate here at AmiWest.
He is an original Amiga fan from the beginning, using his creative insight to build an Amiga for the very first time. He worked too many long hours to give to all of us a machine that did what none other had done before. He has since given of his time and resources to keep on promoting Amiga throughout planet earth. Today he continues to support and give of his energy, creativity and life to those who continue what he and the other original Amiga team members have begun. He is enthusiastic about the future of Amiga and actively participates in Amiga events near and far. And every time we boot up an Amiga, we are all thankful that the Amiga responds to us instead of us responding to the Amiga, all because of the Intuition Interface that he invented. The Presidents AmiWest Team Award for 2023 recognizes a transition in the leadership of the AmiWest show. The leadership baton is officially passed to a team of outstanding professional project managers who have already proven their skill and talent at continuing the history of innovation that AmiWest represents. AmiWest has already become and will continue to be under their leadership. Please give them yourBill Borsari of AmiWest Broadcast fame has been with AmiWest since the first show in 1998. He continues to produce the AmiWest broadcast, be our online operations officer and give major creative input into the structure of and participants in the AmiWest show. Brian Carpignano is our finance man and banquet backup contact. He is also a beta-tester for AmigaOS 3.2 & 3.3 in addition to his professional work for another IT company. Jerry Gray is our onsite operations officer and problem-solver in addition to giving major creative input into AmiWest organization and operations. He runs the hotel contract and the game competition, producing the custom prizes that winners receive. He also leads the raffle along with Bill Borsari. Chris Nelson, aka Mr. Toast, is our onsite technician, social media officer and recording secretary for planning meetings. His experience in the IT field is brought to bear in ways too numerous to mention for our benefit. As with all volunteer organizations, these talented men give freely of their time and talent to advance the cause of Amiga into the future. They represent the future of AmiWest. I applaud what

Among many other things, he: Enthusiastically publicizes AmiWest through blog posts & creating our AmiWest web page. Originates many innovative ideas and concepts. Served as an impromptu AmiWest leader in 2022 when an organizer became seriously ill. Continues to broadcast AmiWest to planet earth since the beginning of the show in 1998, with now hundreds of hours of posted video. The John Zacharias award for outstanding technical assistance to the Sacramento Amiga Computer Club and the Amiga community at large for 2024 is presented this year to one who is largely responsible for recording the history of the AmiWest shows.John Zacharias Award for 2024
He is a dedicated supporter of the Amiga platform and Amiga users. He has been an enthusiastic volunteer for AmiWest for many years, contributing his expertise for the benefit of all. He has given of his time and resources to promote Amiga throughout planet earth. Today he continues to support and give of his energy, creativity and life in support of Amiga clubs throughout the U.S. West Coast and throughout the world. He is enthusiastic about the future of Amiga and actively participates in Amiga events near and far. For at least the last 18 years, he has recorded every AmiWest show video and posted same to the internet for all to enjoy and remember what has happened here at the AmiWest shows, performing a very valuable preservation role for the AmiWest organizers and AmiWest fans everywhere.
