Banquet Tickets Are Still Available!

The banquet ticket deadline has been extended. Our original deadline of this Friday has been extended by special arrangement with the caterer. Friday, October 8 is the absolute deadline for ticket reservations.
No banquet tickets are available at the show. Our caterer must have a firm count so that they can meet their staffing requirements and prepare the great food and service we procure from them.
Reserve your banquet tickets now. Just go to the reservations page to sign up. We will invoice your reservation through PayPal, payable immediately, so we can complete our financial arrangements. Paid banquet tickets will be available at the show on Saturday morning.

Our AmiWest venue is back to business as usual. It seems that everyone is having a meeting now and using "our" venue to do it! Of course, we don't own the hotel but we do want our AmiWest attendees to get the best room rates available.
Please book your AmiWest room as soon as possible. This enables us to increase the size of our room "block" if needed before attendees at other events take up all the space. Just go to our reservations page for both phone and online reservations.

10. August 17, 2021 ONSITE OS 3.2 beta tester to attend AmiWest 2021 in person!

He will be at the SACC table to answer your OS 3.2 questions.
Development is ramping up for OS3.2! The latest release from Hyperion Entertainment is getting rave reviews in the Amiga community. We here at SACC were among the first to see a demo by an active betatester at our June club meeting.
That betatester will attend AmiWest 2021 in person. None other than our SACC member Brian Carpignano will be in attendance and answering your OS3.2 questions at the SACC table. Brian has been working on the OS3.2 project since its inception and is very knowledgeable about the progress being made in that arena.

AmiWest is about the people in the Amiga community. Machinery is interesting but people make machinery go. Amiga people bring life to our community.
And people do interesting things with the Amiga platform. Indeed, having your computer doing what you want is the most interesting part of our show.
We want those people who are developing interesting ways to use Amiga to tell us about that at AmiWest. We are doing this online and onsite for 2021, coordinating those presentations in real time and in pre-recorded form.

8. August 4, 2021 Donations for the SACC table
SACC is looking for things to sell in support of AmiWest.
Let us know what you would like to donate!
Every year for the past 23 years, AmiWest has been presented by the Sacramento Amiga Computer Club. Our members have always stepped up and provided the volunteers necessary to set up and staff AmiWest. This year we are seeing a newer group of volunteers in addition to many of our past volunteer staff actively supporting AmiWest with their time, talent and funds. We have always had a club table with items from our Abyss storage area for sale.
The difference this year is that the Abyss is now closed. Our 6-year Amiga hardware and software redistribution project is now complete.
Now that the SACC Abyss is closed, we are looking for donated items to sell in support of AmiWest. Our SACC tables have provided a rich resource of software and hardware for AmiWest attendees over the past 15 years. Those sales have been a stream of income that has supported the various expenses of AmiWest. All funds raised go to pay the expenses of the show. Everyone who runs the show is a volunteer and thus works for the love of Amiga. No one gets paid by AmiWest.
So bring your Amiga gear to AmiWest this year to sell in support of the show. We are looking for Amiga hardware and software, complete and in good useable condition. By donating, you will receive the satisfaction of knowing that the sale of your items will provide funding for future AmiWest shows.

Onsite space is selling out fast.
SACC members are in as exhibitors.
On Sunday, July 25, two more AmiWest exhibitors confirmed their attendance. These SACC members are bringing long and deep backgrounds in the Amiga platform to their exhibits.
Dave Coombs is an original SACC member from 1986. Dave is bringing the SACC collection of software manuals to AmiWest as the final step in distributing the SACC Abyss (now closed). He is selling these for a donation to the club. Dave also brings experience as an Amiga animator to his exhibit. We're glad to have Dave back as a member
Mr. Toast (aka Chris Nelson) will bring his solder station to AmiWest 2021. Chris has a lot of experience at soldering and can do simple repairs to hardware at the show. Chris also has a lot of experience "back in the day" with Amiga animation and working for NASA in Florida. Come see him at his tables.

Our AmiWest room reservation block is now open! Actually, it's been open since January. Now is the time to reserve your room for AmiWest 2021. We don't want you to be disappointed!
Make your reservations now. Details are on our AmiWest reservation page. Your credit card will NOT be charged until after your stay. If need be, you can cancel up until the day before the first day of the reservation.
Reserving now allows us to increase our reservation block if needed. We can increase the number of rooms we want, but we need to know your plans NOW so we can increase the block if needed.

Major X5000 beta-tester to attend AmiWest this year.
SACC member exhibitor will bring his latest setup.
We have had a member exhibitor category for AmiWest for many years. With most of our members heavily involved in the organization of the show, not many are free to take advantage of this category of exhibitor to show off their own projects at AmiWest.
This year, SACC-Guy returns for AmiWest 2021 as a SACC member exhibitor. In years past he has also been a mainstay of our AmiWest organization. Recently, he has been even more active as an X5000 beta-tester and is on every list that exists for that role.
He is actually one of the founders of AmiWest. He has many things to say about Amiga. An Amigan since the Classic days, he knows most of what the platform can do and is a very engaging conversationalist as well as a major X5000 beta tester.
Come see his table at AmiWest 2021! We're sure he will have interesting and provocative things to say as well as exhibit. He (and others like him) is representative of the reasons why coming to the show is so intriguing.

Doug Compton will be in Sacramento to exhibit
His exhibit is expanding, "lots of stuff to show."
We are pleased to confirm the attendance of Doug Compton of 10MARC fame at AmiWest 2021! He has expanded his exhibit space for 2021. In his reservation email, he said, "Yes, I want two tables this year, please. Lots of stuff to show!"
Doug was a key part of our online presence last year. He hosted the Sunday discussion online from Arizona and kept an online audience discussing in a very positive fashion for about seven hours.

MorphOS to be presented by a non-dev team member onsite at AmiWest 2021!
The latest MorphOS version and software will be on display
MorphOS is the first to confirm an exhibit onsite at AmiWest 2021. In his reservation reply, the "non-dev team member" said, "I'll display some MorphOS systems running the latest version and have the Wayfarer browser and Iris mail client , and any other fun software that looks interesting. See you there in October."
The MorphOS display is always interesting.That non-dev team member is sure to make an articulate presentation. He adds a lot to our show every year that he has attended in the past.

AmiWest 2021, the 24th AmiWest show, is launching! Our combination online and physical show was such a success last year that our SACC members have decided to do it again. We learned alot last year and had over 10 times the online viewers we have had in past years. That's a 1000% gain!
